Brown Rice addresses anti-immigration and cultural genocide still prevalent today. The viewer witnesses a ritualistic killing of the other through the stripping/skinning of brown skin on a grain of rice. Skinning of a grain of brown rice takes place as audio of the Minutemen and women violently protest against the presence of people from Mexico in the United States. Once the stripping of the brown rice seed is concluded, a grain of white rice
emerges.
